After your business bank account connection is approved, Expensify sends three test transactions to confirm ownership. You must enter these amounts before you can use the account for reimbursements or payments.

Who can validate a business bank account
Only Workspace Admins can complete this step. If the account was shared with you, you must enter the test transactions to activate your copy.
Where to find pending business bank accounts
You’ll see a Pending badge next to the bank account that needs validation:
- Go to Workspaces > [Workspace Name] > Workflows.
- Or go to Settings > Wallet and look for the account with a Pending badge.
How to validate a business bank account with test transactions
- Within 1–2 business days, Expensify sends three test transactions to your bank account: two small withdrawals and one small deposit.
- Log into your bank and find the three test amounts.
- Return to Expensify and go to Workspaces > [Workspace Name] > Workflows, or go to Settings > Wallet.
- Click the pending bank account.
- Enter all three amounts exactly as they appear.
- Click Validate.
Once the values are confirmed, your business bank account is fully connected and ready to use.
What to do if test transactions don’t arrive
If the test deposits don’t appear after two business days:
- Confirm that your bank account supports ACH direct debits.
- Share the following ACH details with your bank:
- ACH Company IDs: 1270239450, 4270239450, 2270239450
- ACH Originator Name: Expensify
- If still missing, contact Concierge to re-trigger the test transactions.
FAQ
How many test transactions will I receive?
Three in total: two small withdrawals and one small deposit. These are temporary and used to confirm your ownership of the account.
What happens if I enter the wrong amounts?
You’ll be prompted to try again. Multiple failed attempts may lock the validation process, so check your bank details carefully.
Can I skip validation if the account was shared with me?
No. US-based admins must enter the test transactions to activate their copy of the account. For non-US accounts, validation may not be required.
What if I don’t have access to the bank account?
Another Workspace Admin with bank access should complete the validation. You won’t be able to proceed without entering the test amounts.
